Identify Group area group of business services and recruitment brands operating in the UK, USA and Europe. Based in Buckinghamshire, they approached me to help define their brands and undertake a review of the marketing operations ahead of a planned IPO in 2019.
The main component of the brief for Identify was to conduct a full review of the marketing process and report back with recommendations. Once agreed by the board it was then about prioritising the work with a limited resource. Initially it was clear the group needed a new website to project a level of credibility for the IPO. A full brand review had been started using an agency at considerable cost and the initial findings had been disappointing. I halted the brand project in favour of a simple identity clean up and created a strategy that played to the strengths of the business - their reputation, experience and global reach.
WHAT WAS DELIVERED
A one page strategy was created and from that a project was started to create a new website using a respected web developer known to the company. All social channels were refreshed, a brand guideline document was created and a new collateral design was agreed for internal communications like HR documents which included a new employee handbook, terms and conditions and HR forms.
Work also included email templates for the IPO outreach working closely with an IPO consultant, finalising the brand identity and social media campaigns.
